Continuing our spooky weekend with a tour of The Edgar Allen Poe Museum. We will have a private tour guide taking us through the museum and adding insights to the history of Edgar Allen Poe. Learn about Poe’s tragic life and how it influenced his famous tales of terror. Leave with a greater understanding of the Master of the Macabre and his literary legacy.
The Poe Museum began over a century ago when an Edgar Allan Poe collector and researcher named James Howard Whitty and a group of literary enthusiasts met in Poe’s hometown of Richmond, Virginia to create the state’s first monument to a writer.
Join us on our spooky pub hop event too and learn what areas of the Poe Museum are haunted!
Price for this event is $13 for premium members and $16 for everyone else. Space is limited to 15.

Parking: Free off-street parking is available on the side of the museum.

Once you purchase a ticket, you are expected to show for that event. If you can no longer attend, you are responsible for finding a replacement. The replacement must be a current Trying to Adult RVA member unless otherwise approved by someone on the leadership team. It doesn’t matter if they are a regular member or premium member. The best way to find a replacement is to post a comment on the specific Meetup event page. Once you find a replacement, message Sam and she will assist with the exchange. If you cannot find someone to claim your spot, you will forfeit the cost paid.
