It’s Movie Night. And we are going to Regal Short Pump theater to see the film “American Fiction”, which is up for Best Picture at the 2024 Oscars.
TIME of the movie is at 7:50. Please get to the theater a bit early to check in with us.
Movie Summary : Monk is a frustrated novelist who’s fed up with the establishment that profits from Black entertainment that relies on tired and offensive tropes. To prove his point, he uses a pen name to write an outlandish Black book of his own, a book that propels him to the heart of hypocrisy and the madness he claims to disdain.
This event is free for all members and $5 for non-members. This fee contributes to keep Trying to Adult RVA active! All attendees must have a confirmed ticket from the Trying to Adult RVA website. All attendees must also purchase a movie ticket separately. You can do so via Fandango.com or the movie theaters website!
