James River Tubing Float

Time for summer activities on the James River! For this event we will meet at the Pony Pasture parking lot. We will then ride in a shuttle to the put-in point. Along the ride, they will give us pointers about the river and how to have a great float. We then will float down the river in individual tubes back to our cars. The experience will take anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3.5 hours or more depending on water level and if we decide to stop in any areas to hang out along the float.
Trips run rain or shine. Summer storms often pass quickly, and, on the river, we already expect to get wet. If River Outfitters decides to cancel for a larger storm or any other reason, you will get a full refund or the ability to reschedule.
If any tube or tubes are returned with significant damage or are not returned at all, you will be responsible for the cost of their replacement. $199 is the price of a replacement tube. These are super sturdy, raft-like tubes. If you join us you will have to use these tube. Bringing your own is not allowed for this event.
Price to join this event is $44 for premium members and $47 for everyone else. Space is limited to 20 people.

Please arrive by 9:45! Plan to leave things in your vehicle or bring them on the river. We will not be responsible for any of your belongings.
REFUND POLICY – PLEASE READ BELOW!
Once you purchase a ticket, you are expected to show for that event. If you can no longer attend, you are responsible for finding a replacement. The replacement must be a current Trying to Adult RVA member unless otherwise approved by someone on the leadership team. It doesn’t matter if they are a regular member or premium member. The best way to find a replacement is to post a comment on the specific Meetup event page. Once you find a replacement, message Sam and she will assist with the exchange. If you cannot find someone to claim your spot, you will forfeit the cost paid.
