Friendsgiving Dinner
November 9th 6:30PM
November 9, 2023
$45.00I am so thankful for you all so a Thanksgiving dinner with the group sounds like the perfect celebration – better yet, a Friendsgiving!
The famous Tanglewood Ordinary Country Restaurant will open privately for us on this Thursday evening. We will be the only group in the restaurant! The meal will be unlimited and family style. What are family-style meals? Family-style meals are when the components of a meal are put on the table in bowls or plates so everyone can serve themselves. The bowls and/or plates are passed around and put back in the middle of the table where more can be eaten if desired. This family-owned restaurant has been in business since 1986 and deliver amazing comfort foods to its patrons.
The menu for our dinner will include their famous fried chicken, roast beef, country ham, bbq, mashed potatoes, green beans, mixed greens, buttered corn, gravy biscuits and cornbread with refills included. Also included: tea, coffee and lemonade and apple cobbler with ice cream for dessert. There will also be a cash bar for beer or wine if you would like some adult beverages as well.
Get this, all of that AMAZING food, plus tax and gratuity is only $40 for premium members and $45 for everyone else. Tickets must be purchased no later than Sunday, November 5th so that I can give Tanglewood a final count for food ordering (they noted that they order the chicken fresh from a local farm!). Space is limited to 25.
Once you purchase your spot, please also RSVP for this event on Meetup when it is posted.
Parking: There is a small parking lot on site. It you have to block someone in, that’s okay. We will all be in the same group and can move cars when needed.
Tanglewood Ordinary Country Restaurant is located out towards Goochland which is about a 30 minute drive from Richmond so please keep that in mind.
REFUND POLICY – PLEASE READ BELOW!
Once you purchase a ticket, you are expected to show for that event. If you can no longer attend, you are responsible for finding a replacement. The replacement must be a current Trying to Adult RVA member unless otherwise approved by someone on the leadership team. It doesn’t matter if they are a regular member or premium member. The best way to find a replacement is to post a comment on the specific Meetup event page. Once you find a replacement, message Sam and she will assist with the exchange. If you cannot find someone to claim your spot, you will forfeit the cost paid.
