Get ready to sip and sway to the rhythm of the Caribbean as talented musicians and performers Kevin Davis and Ban Caribe transport you to paradise. From Afro-Cuban and reggae to calypso and salsa, they hit all the right notes. Ban Caribe has played everywhere from the VMFA to the Ting Pavilion in Charlottesville!

Island Shrimp Co’s waterfront location offers a breathtaking view of the James River, creating the perfect atmosphere for a mini-vacation and a memorable happy hour. Our group will have an entire section of the restaurant, including 1/2 of the horseshoe-shaped bar reserved. Indulge in delicious tropical-inspired food and refreshing beverages while you mingle with fellow music lovers, and make new memories that will last a lifetime. So gather with some friends, come thirsty, and enjoy some good vibes on a Friday evening!

This event is free for all members and $5 for non-members. Space is limited to 20 people. Spots are first purchased first confirmed.  All attendees must have a confirmed ticket from the Trying to Adult RVA website.

Parking: there is free parking but can be limited. There is street parking and a small lot near the restaurant. Just be sure to read all postage signs as some areas are permit only! Make sure you go to the Rocketts Landing location as Island Shrimp Co. has two locations.

Our event starts at 5:30 however, if you need to arrive later that is ok! Just let us know when you plan to arrive if arriving late.
